Riposte X Uniqlo

As part of our partnership with Uniqlo, we featured a special Riposte Edit of their latest LifeWear magazine within the pages of issue #13.

Throughout a thirty-page insert, we brought together a selection of content from Uniqlo’s own LifeWear magazine which was set within bespoke layouts that sat seamlessly within the pages of Riposte.

The aim of the project was to introduce our readers to the Uniqlo magazine and, in turn, the featured Uniqlo collections.

To accompany the Riposte edit, and to tie into Uniqlo’s Kanshasai Festival (Thanks Giving), we hosted an event at Tate Modern where we invited a panel of speakers to reflect on the theme of “Giving Thanks and Taking Care” – both themes explored within the pages of Riposte #13 and the LifeWear edit we created.

Speakers included: Vicky Spratt, journalist; Maria Samoto le Dous, Head of Sustainability at UNIQLO Europe; Mark Miller, Head of Programme and Practice at Tate; Bisila Noha, ceramicist and Maya Njie, perfumier. The discussion was moderated by arts and culture journalist Charlotte Jansen.

Alongside the panel discussion, we hosted a Furoshiki workshop - the Japanese art of gift wrapping – which was attended by Riposte readers and guests.

We documented the panel discussion which was shared in full on our site and in smaller social media edits that were amplified across our platforms and Uniqlo’s Instagram pages.
